Name: Jessie Oatway
Home Mountain: Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

Jessie Oatway knows about injuries.  In the five seasons he has been snowboarding he has broken two ankles, both wrists, dislocated both knees over 7 times, dislocated his elbow,  broken ribs, compressed his spine, broken his hand, had 3 major concussions, a broken nose and eye socket, not to mention ACL MCL, Femur and a knee cap torn off.   Despite the injuries, Jessie still rides at 100%.
Jessie joined us at Lake Louise this spring and was part of a special crew of riders that helped test the landing pad.  After spending a few days learning new tricks on the landing pad, Jessie Told us “the landing pad makes me fearless of crashing so any trick that I had envisioned doing I was able to try on the pad.”
When asked what the pad feels like when landing, Jessie told us that “the pad feels like really deep sugar pow when you first touch down.”
